Sparkle Blue!

Underwater on a sunny day...

It is so incredibly calm and peaceful under water - the resistance slows down my movements and gives me a free, floating slow motion feeling. I listen only to my even breath while fully taking in this amazing indescribable beauty.

So relaxing - I wish, i could be at the ocean right now...

Waiting For Green...

Oh my - I am SO SO waiting for green...

Winter seems very long this year and i am absolutely ready for some fresh spring green.

And I am really glad I took plenty of flower pictures in my mom's garden last year - looking at them really helps me to hang in there and push thru these - hopefully - last moments of snow and frost.

Why We Are Not Moving Into This Apartment

Because it is already taken by my dear friend!

She is also moving from a small country village back to the city just as we plan to do, too.

Soon!

So far no decision has been made regarding this cool loft we looked at recently.

But keep your fingers crossed for us...

Meanwhile please take a look at this absolutely adorable apartment my friend just signed a lease on.

Just like the building we looked at, this house is also under special protection because of its old age and its structure and design - means it can't be changed too much.

It is a beautiful BLACK villa in a very nice and quiet neighborhood. (It looks grayish here on my picture but in reality the effect is black).

Throughout history it had always been painted black outside.

It is owned by a woman who takes the greatest care to preserve or restore and respect the characteristics of this house.

She did an amazing job on that house so far.

For example she figured out the original wall coat and color that was used centuries ago. It is mineral based and the color is a beautiful soft pink!

What a coincidence because soft powdery pinks anyway just made their way back into interior these days

The build-in cabinets are original and the bathroom is made of stone.

And look at the window knobs - the owner had them be redone and they are made of horn - just like the original ones were. Same with the door knobs. They are carved out of ebony...

Have you ever seen so much love for the detail and history?

I can't wait to see it decorated and furnished...

Never seen before: Paper landscapes in size 1:100!!! from japanese artist Kami No Kousakujo and "air-vases" cut from one paper sheet.

Aren't those absolutely amazing?

Both products are available at SHU SHU in Munich.

The vase Heidi Klum just bought recently... available here.

And Style Green wall art made from real prepared plants. NO care required!!!

I especially liked these mossy pictograms :)

Again also from Japan, beautiful simple and esthetic KAMI tableware (available here) made of wood coated with urethan.

Cranes cranes EVERYWHWERE! - Not only at the japanese booths.

Pretty fire-pralines for lighting a sweet fire

And finally I know a place where i can get the new "Casa"(here) washi-tape.

Frohstoff, located in Hamburg, creates beautiful and unique handmade products from fabric and felt.

Their specialty is hand sreen printing with eco-conscious paints on high quality materials.

I absolutely love their colors and cool motifs! So special and very esthetic.

This neon bunny is so cute - unfortunately my I-phone pictures are not really true to the real neon color...

Frohstoff also offers to manufacture special orders and individual pieces so you could create and have your very own sreen-printed design!

Or you could attend Workshops in Hamburg and learn how to make something nice yourself.

Good to know - in case we finally find our new appartement...

Ambiente13 - Part 1 - Baobab

Off we go - today I will take you to Frankfurt to visit the Ambiente - one of the largest consumer-goods exhibitions.

I typically go there to get my materials for my jewelry and when I am done with that I like to wander around checking out what's new and exciting in the field of interior and design.

Of course I always visit the large brands but I equally like to discover small and unique labels.

Like Baobab from beautiful France. They have been in business since 1998 and I had heard about them before but hadn't seen a lot of their products yet.

They are located in La Rochelle at the atlantic coast! [Waaahhh - I spent my very first vacation without parents there when i was fourteen - together with my girlfriends. I can't imagine that I will allow my daughter to go in about four years...]

I really like their original pattern and color combinations and all the lovely little details on their products. Expressive and unusual in a very good way.

Please take a look:

The young French sales-Mademoiselles were so nice and friendly and had the cutest accent ever - I really appreciated their fun attitude because it is not an easy task to be at the fair all day long meeting and greeting tons of people. Real fair-heroes...

I exactly know how they feel at the end of the day because I've been an exhibitor with my own booth at the Ambiente for many years myself.

It is a foggy and grey Sunday here today - perfect for relaxing...

I found this grey washed linen bedding at Merci's (here is a post about the shop and its philosophy)- a wonderful shop we stopped by last year when we went to Maison&Object in Paris.

Yesterday I went to Ambiente in Frankfurt and discovered many fun things there as well which I will share with you in upcoming posts.

Next to my Family + Pets , Job, time for DIY's and a bit of Happiness-Theory it's mostly the beauty and aesthetic I found in flowers, trees and natural landscapes which presents true happiness for me.

And being able to capture and preserve all this Happiness with my camera makes me really really happy! :)
